Newark, NJ – December 2016 – The Rutgers Business School in Newark held their Third Annual Entrepreneurship Awards Ceremony on November 15th, 2016 and presented Rahul Anand, founder of The Ideas Maker, with the Student Entrepreneurship of the Year Award. This award recognizes an individual who has had an impact in the community and utilized entrepreneurship as a skill. Rahul has also received a scholarship award from Rutgers University which was granted to him for his entrepreneurship impact within the Rutgers community. Rahul is an undergraduate student at Rutgers Business School in Newark, and holds the position as president in the Indian Students Association, Collaborative Entrepreneurs organization and Golden Key Honor Society. He is a former Research Analyst for Google in India, where he was involved in team employment, training programs, process management and data research. He has obtained a level of professional experience beyond that of the average undergraduate student. Aside from being actively involved in the university’s organizations, Rahul has utilized his self-taught professional skills and knowledge to create his own digital services agency by the name of The Ideas Maker, which has become widely recognized by the acronym of TIM. Rahul has converted his passion for helping small businesses cultivate, into an agency that became an officially registered New Jersey Limited Liability Corp in 2015. TIM’s mission has been to “provide world class digital services by engaging the community around us with local and sustainable service practices.” They have succeeded by already servicing 18 clients in web design and development, marketing, business consulting, mobile applications development, and more. The Ideas Maker is a Rutgers based startup which has provided these services in such a polished manner, that with the guidance of TIM, enterprises of all levels gain the confidence to succeed in their endeavors. Rahul states that the next big step for his business will be shifting TIM out from a student based company and plans to achieve this by secure funding and crowd sourcing. A major factor that has contributed to the success of this company lies in Rahul’s belief, that “transparency, and happiness of the team members is more important than the company itself.” He believes that if the team members are happy, it channels down into the quality of the products, to the clients, and generates overall satisfaction for all.
